Today (November 30th 2011)
I heard the song "I love you like a love song" by Selena Gomez on the radio, and I somehow stowed it away in the back burner of my mind. Upon reaching a brief moment of boredom and an open facebook chat with Madison, I posed the question, "Is loving someone like a love song a good or bad thing, I'm not sure, because some people hate love songs or grow tired of ones that play on the top 40 stations every few minutes."
I was in for a suprise when this was the answer to my nonserious musing....
pop songs are probably the closest thing to songifying love
nothing gets you in a better mood, change your whole day around when you hear it, faster or higher than a pop song does. Having someone in your live that does that to you is what most people call love.
the same old song and dance applies to someone you love, and a pop song, you will hear it over and over again and it will get old, just like love does.
I think pop songs trigger the same emotional responses that meeting someone you really like does, probably because they are written about the subject.
most people come to a fork in the "relationship" road. They ask themselves which path will they be happier, continuing with this person and forgoing the chance of meeting someone else, or sticking it out through the crap because you think that person is worth it.
Not what I was expecting but nonetheless though provoking. I felt that this answer needed to be shared with the world,
as I can't be so selfish with the answers to my musings, especially with the internet being subjected to my musings so often.
That's too great of a response! :)
